Re: [APML] TechPan Development

Hi Jim:
You might as well go to the ultimate expert on this topic:
Chuck Vaughn: http://www.aa6g.org/astro.html
I think the APML archives will also contain lots of postings about processing TP. Most people feel the old Lumicon recommendation for developing time (5 min) is too short. Chuck recommends 10 minutes, a lot of other people like 8 minutes. Have fun!

Subject: [APML] TechPan Development

I've never developed my own film before but am thinking what better film to try it on that Tech Pan!
Does anyone know of any articles on the web about development of Tech Pan that they could send me a hyper link to?
I read the commentary in the Lumicon Catalogue that states "Develop 5 min in Kodak D-19 at 68-72 degrees, stop 30 seconds fix 1 min...." and so forth. Are they talking about the process of the negatives? Surely there not talking about developing prints?? I know there allot of astrophotographers shooting 2415 for obvious reasons and would like to try it myself.
Thanks for the help!
