[APML] 400F (was: Alternative Anti-Vignetting Photoshop Technique)



George,

Yes, it's Fuji Provia 400F.  You'll see postings on it in the APML
archive.  The grain is about what you'd expect for a 400 speed film.

E200 is a good astro slide film, but on many subjects it's a little too
red-happy for my taste.  I think E200 is good for subjects that don't
have a lot of red in them, like reflection nebulae and galaxies.  E200
is good for recording faint red nebulosity and for short exposures of
red nebulae, but it saturates very easily on the bright red stuff.  I
also like E200 for wide field shots.  However on E200 red nebulae often
seem to record more orangey than I'd like.  Again, you'll see lots of
posts about E200 in the APML archives.
