Re: [APML] Alternative Anti-Vignetting Photoshop Technique

To:  Tom,

I liked what you did, so I tried the anti-vignette technique I have on my web
page (http://jrfcomet.homestead.com/files/tech/vin.htm ) to see how it would compare;
see: http://jrfcomet.homestead.com/files/nebula/Veil-FS102-JRFVIN.jpg
I used PS6.01 and did a 32-pixel median filter, per R,G,B, took out the asymmetric
bright spots with the rubber-stamp, did another 16-18 pixel median, saw how it looked, applied a radial blur
(good for this particular image) lowered the brightness by 2-4 and lowered the contrast by 6 or 9.
Each of these was then subtracted from there derived gray scale image and re-combined.
Let me know what you think.

Subject: [APML] Alternative Anti-Vignetting Photoshop Technique

Greetings all,

I have decided to rejoin the list after nearly a year hiatus.  I have been experimenting with different techniques to correct for vignetting and wanted to share one with you.  I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks much,
Tom
