Re: [APML] First and first

My first web page and my first astro photo.....

Celestar-8, f6.3 reducer, 24 mm eyepiece, held my Olympus C4040 digital up to the eyepiece on full-auto....and a bit of sharpening in Photoshop 6....

Dumb luck.

Not too shabby!  You would not beleive how long it took me to be able to take a similar photo using film back in the 1960s.

Actually our setups for the moon aren't that different.  I got an Olympus C3020 for Christmas and hand held it to the eyepiece of my antique C-8 to get this right off the bat www.robertreeves.com/fullmoon.jpg

Later, I got more serious and was amazed at what I could get on the Moon and Jupiter with this little digital camera.  I'm getting better Moon stuff by acident than what I used to get on purpouse with film.  When I get caught up, I'll post a lunar album to complement the deepsky stuff on my web site.
