RE: [APML] Accessory cases
This might answer the questions about the type of foam used in these cases.
It was posted a couple of years ago on sci.astro.amateur by David Ward of
the Flint River Astronomy Club.
He says:
"Polyether (ether based polyurethane foam) is the same type of foam in the
Pelican and Zero-Halliburton cases which have been used for optics for
decades so there does appear to be independent confirmation (verified this
confirming info on the web sites of several Pelican & Zero dealers).
A national (USA) source for this safe foam is: McMaster-Carr
www.mcmaster.com".

Also in the thread from Gerry Pearson:
"I don't know of an internet source, but the absolute best stuff for
_NOT_ outgassing is polyETHYLENE foam. This is made from the same stuff
as plastic milk bottles."
-----------------
And from Larry Janowicz:
Can't recommend a specific vendor but you want to buy polyethylene
instead polyurethane foam. You might check out your local fabric store
or camera shop (they do sell replacement foam for camera cases but it
might be pricey)
