    If that's not enough to convince most people, nothing is...
what an improvement! I have been experimenting a lot with it on different kinds of scenes and grain structures... it reacts very differently if you take it off of "auto" and place the sample squares manually in less dense "open" zones... it becomes much more aggressive. Changing the size and number of the squares also affects the outcome, but not as much as where you put them. My impression is that these folks have come up with a fairly optimum "auto" mode for using this... it flies pretty good on auto-pilot.
     My other impression is exactly what you said... there is less blotchiness to this and much more selection... I used to avoid blotchiness in PW with a strong blur but not much power. This would attack the integrity of the image to some extent. This software attempts to kill the grain without affecting the rest of the image... it's the best I have ever seen and I have to echo your sentiment... worth the $160.
