[APML] vignetting removal stumped

I've got a shot with the 12.5" and the 1.4x teleconverter that has me
stumped
on getting the vignetting removed to my satisfacion. If some of you guys
that have a better handle on this have the time and desire, take a look at

Any tips I could get on settings for Jerry's Photoshop technique would be a
great help. I played with it quite a lot and was never able to get it to my
likes. The image is only part-way enhanced, and further enhancement will
really make that vignetting show up bad.
Cropping would be a solution for other 3100mm targets and perhaps
for this, but on this shot I will have to crop out some nice stuff to get
rid of the vignetting.
