[APML] [OT] - Personal Picture Database?

Dear all,
I'm back to the list after some days off from work & astronomy. Hope
you spent a nice time 'round the turn of the century...

I do have one question which I'm sure I'm to the first ever to pose.
I've started piling up a lot of astro pictures, both slides and 
negatives. I would like to build up a pix database of mine which should 
contain, for every exposure, data such as date and location, equipment 
used, object, exposure time & so on. It'd be cool also to associate a 
thumbnail of the shot. Do you know of any ready-made software
(under Windows or Linux) that could fit my needs? I'm just way too 
lazy and busy to write it myself :-) :-)

Any hints/links will be appreciated.
