[APML] OM-1 finder/ Celestrons skylight-dust filter/Versacorp

i'm the most eager to firm-up which OM-1 screen to get. i've attached scans which i'm not sure are readable of Olympus' descriptions of the original ones. does Jerry L know which is most comparable to his Nikon D? Chuck V, you recommended the 1-12 but i'm wondering if that's what you have- note that it's for microscopy used with a diopter or vari-mag pre-focused on it(on attached scan). my friend 'paul the olympus guy' (if you don't know him you should!) tells me of a 1-8 for astrophotography, anyone know about this one? i'd like as much input on the brighter and easier to focus as i'm selling my beattie.

 

any known optical pros or cons on the skylight filter? i wanted to seal the C-8 from dust and moisture.

 

anyone have any experience w/ jeff at versacorp's products? what flip mirror would you recommend for relatively non-vignetted 35mm photog. w/ reduced focal length. i'd like the locating-framing-focus help but don't want to guide from there as the taurus, etc? meade's big version? (though i despise the company)  wk
