Yes, I know exactly how you feel. I experienced a similar feeling in
1991. In fact, that eclipse set my mind into astronomy forever.

I also took several pictures. Some of them were the last ones in a Kodak
Pro 400 I had almost done. Today I received the negatives and they were
completely overexposed (remember we never got more than 84% of
totality). So I have nothing from the first roll of film. I will let you
know how my other pictures turn out (on Kodak Gold 100). I could finish
being the worst Sun photographer ever.
And put me on the list to get your shots!
