Re: [APML]: EG/GEG questions

For your Newtonian you need the Lumicon Newtonian EasyGuider. I have one
and it works great. I've also used it with my Genesis; the Newtonian EG
works with any scope with a 2" focuser. (They make one for 1.25" focusers,
but if vignettes terribly on 35mm film.)

The focal reducers only work with SCTs, and your f/7 Cave is fast enough
as-is anyway.

Wonderful scopes, those old Caves. I grew up a few miiles from the Cave
factory on Anaheim Road in Long Beach, California. When I was in high
school another young astronomer and I used to pop down to the Cave store
and press our noses against the glass; I so dreamed of owning one of those
scopes. Congratulations on one of the great classics of all time.
