Last October I used a real time CCD to record the occultation of the
nearly full moon and Aldebaran. This star was bright enough that
when I had a good exposure value for the bright limb of the moon. .
.the star was also visible on the monitor.

For your case I bet that any exposure that's good enough to show the
first quarter moon's bright limb with a proper exposure will also
show Aldebaran. . .and if that doesn't work, expose longer (like 5-15
seconds) to get the earthshine (dark) part of the moon to show on the
negative. . .and Aldebaran will certainly show.

Good luck!
