William, I, like many other astrophotographers, am of the opinion that you can't have too much mount -- my C-11 sits on a AP 1200. Given that, I'd definitely recommend the 900 over the 600. I previously owned a G-11 and felt that it was inadequate for shooting with a C-11 (fine for visual, though). The slightest amount of wind was enough to give it and the autoguider fits. Best of luck, Bob Fera -----Original Message----- From: william propert [SMTP:umyangtae@worldnet.att.net] Sent: Friday, February 20, 1998 10:41 AM To: apml Subject: [APML]: AP600 v. 900 for C11 I would like info/opinions on which mount would be best with a C11 scope. Although the G11 Losmandy mount seems like an excellent deal, I know the AP mounts are substantially better, particularly for astrophotography. Does anyone know if the AP 600 is stable enough for the weight of the Celestron C11 or will I need the 900. Thanks for any help.
