Having owned and used both AP and Losmandy mounts, I would not make a blanket
statement like that. Both AP and Losmandy make excellent astrophoto mounts, the
question is what is best suited to the scope you have in mind.

The AP600 mount is really too small to carry a C11 for astrophotography. Either
the G-11 or the AP900 would carry your C11 just fine, but the G-11 and AP900
are not directly comparable: The AP900 is quite a bit larger, heavier, and
twice as expensive as the G-11. In terms of size, weight, carrying capacity,
and overall capability the G-11 is intermediate between the AP600 and AP900.

My two cents' worth: If you have or see in your future a scope larger than a
C11 then I'd go with the AP900; if the C11 is the largest you expect to use
then I think the G-11 would be the better choice.
