Re: [APML]: Cleaning Deep Sky Filter

A locking ring usually has two small "screwdriver" slots on opposite sides
of the ring. There is a special tool that you can purchase from better
hardware stores for this purpose. It is a pair of movable fine blades set on
a cross piece. The two blades can be adjusted along the cross piece to fit
inside the slots on the locking ring. You then turn as if it was a
screwdriver. Care is obviously required as it is easy to slip and scratch...

Pure isopropyl can be purchased at a drug store. Do not use rubbing
alcohol as it has water and oils in it. You can also find pure alcohol at
electronic stores for cleaning tape heads and other electronic components.
>What the hell is "Spittle"?
Gob, spit, saliva to name a few. It is that liquid that you get on your
filter when you try to blow off the dust spots with your breath.
Clear skies!
