Ian:
      While you were very impressed with the performance of the new
astrophysics mount, I am even more impressed with its reliability. 
After using my AP 900 mount for over 2 years in California, Las Campanas
(Chile) and Bolivia, I have never had a failure of any kind.  I can't
say the same for other popular mounts which have failed many times. 
Also the customer service and constant improvements of their products
places Astrophysics (in my opinion) as the number one manufacturer of
german equatorial mounts for the amateur astronomer.
