Re: [APML] Film is not dead
Now if only they would make a film which didn't have such bad
reciprocity characteristics or would work with hypering we would be all
set.
Their Delta 400 isn't too bad out of the box for a first try film for
someone who wants to get their feet wet, espescially when pushed to
800ISO. But their SFX-200 with extended red sensitivity fails with
incredible speed. I seem to recall reading (on the net) a comment on one
of the B&W newsgroups that the rate is near 7 stops after one minute.
Wish I'd found that gem before I tested the film, and it would be really
nice if it responded to hypering. But it doesn't and a $10 a pop it was
a real dud.
Maybe they would be interested in Kodaks recipe for TP?
The Estar base wouldn't be available but I wonder if it would work with
some of the microfilm polyester film bases?
