Re: [APML] Film is not dead




I have suspect this and its a very narrow point of 
view and one that does a disservice to beginning
astroimagers. While CCD's can ultimately produce
better images, very fine images can still be produced
with modestly priced film based equipment. Astronomy
takes a different point of view. In working with
Michael Bakich in writing this article he specifically
said they liked to continue to cover film based imaging
to show beginners what can be done with modest 
equipment.
