[APML] Epson 4870 scanner (Was Wide field Packman nebula)

Yes, I have this problem with the SS4000 also. Doesn't matter if the
film was old, or just back from the lab. Still happens, it bows, or
sags.

I have been doing that and the improvement is noticeable.

I do; what is the cost for one of these? 
And, any idea how it compares to the one I use (SS4000)?

Any other comments on ease of use, maximum dpi, etc.. would be useful
also.
