RE: [APML] Film is not dead



If you look at the advertising money spent in the magazine, it's all digital
imaging related. They would naturally want to show off images taken by their
advertisers products. I also believe the number of film images being sent to
them is on the decline. Just my thoughts.

I'm not deluding myself about the situation, most people are gravitating
toward cutting edge products or the advertising money wouldn't be spent in
that area. I just thought I would point out the obvious bias in S&T's
article.  

I don't personally send images, mostly because I don't think mine are that
great and I'm to lazy.

more or because the editors are trying to select digital images as much as
possible.

The situation in the other side of the world is somewhat different from that
on S&T.  In Japanese magazines, about half of the pictures are still film
ones, including a few TP images every month.  I have to say, film images
from Japan are really exciting.
