Hi Alan,
    Yes, I did an USM followed by SGBNR to smooth it out a little/lot.  As 
for the brownish dusty areas, those came out in my numerous applications of 
curves and levels/histogram.  Now if I can just figure out how to bring that 
out without screwing up other areas of the image I'll be a happy camper.  By 
the way, if you look at the raw jpeg I posted yesterday, the brown stuff 
isn't visible.  It only came out after aggressive/wild processing.
