Thanks Jason!  No, actually it was a fantastic night.  The softness was induced using SGBNR because after removing the vignetting, and much stretching, it wasn't very smooth.  I may have overdone it a bit.

Nice picture, Gary.  Was it a little bit hazy when you shot the exposure?  I think the softness adds to the picture rather than makes it worse.  Great job!

Here's one of my rare prime focus shots from the morning of 2/6.  It's my longest guided exposure so far, 49 minutes, but is also a bit blown out.  Oh yeah, it's of M42...what else?
