     I too have a SCT collecting dust in the shop, an old LX-5!!!  Talk 
about dating myself, huh?  Nice optics but the mechanicals sux.  Currecntly 
I'm using an AP 155mm EDFS f:7 on a pier in my obs. 
http://www.cav-sfo.com/Me.html  That's why the LX-5 had been collecting 
dust, since 1995...joe  :)
