As someone (can't remember who right now) said on MAPUG a few years
back; "The only way you'll get my Taurus away from me is to pry it from
my cold, dead fingers". That's how valuable this piece of equipment is
to me.
I may look into the possibility of ordering a shorter tube to achieve
my goal here (thanks Malcolm). If it's a simple case switching out the
objective and focuser, then it shouldn't be too much trouble. I will
consider it after I get the first pier poured and the garage
re-modeled.
