Hi Art,
    As Wade said, Elite Chrome 200 has a slightly better Ha response, while the Provia 400F has a slightly better blue response.  Also, I've found in shooting Comet Machholz, the Provia does a little better on recording the comet and tail.  I push both films 1 stop so, understandably, the Provia records more at twice the speed.  Here's an example of Elite Chrome 200 and also one of Provia 400F...
Both are very good for AP.
