I have been told that several years ago Sky and Telescope
magazine ran a
survey asking what are the most famous or inspirational
astrophotographs
ever taken. The number 1 listing was "Earthrise
over the Moon". Does
anyone know who took the photo they were
referring to? Was it on the Apollo
8 or 11 mission?
Apparently similar photographs were taken on both
missions.
I
would have written Sky and Telescope, except they rarely answer my
emails.
