Re: [APML] slower films

Yes, that helped and confirmed my suspicion, there's no slower films
left for astrophotography of DSO's. There are slower slide films available
(100, 64, 25) but a quick look at Kodak's site suggests they are not good
for our application. I should have looked there before posting the question
here.
Thanks,

Hi Michael,
I'm sure others on the list can give you more info on this, but bottom
line is there are only a few films left that give good Ha response for
emission nebula. Kodak Elite Chrome 200 and Fuji Provia 400F are the 2 best
slide films at this time. I have tried Elite Chrome 100, which is finer
grained, but I seemed to get a green tint to the film and it did not have a
good Ha response. I also have tried the Fuji Provia 100F but found the
same. I hope this helps you somewhat.

Curious why I don't hear much about slower slide films for deep space
objects then ISO200? Is it that there is none slower that's good enough
for
DSO's or is it the lack of wanting to track for longer periods of time or
is
it that there are no slower slide film available then 200? what is the
reason why I only hear about e200 and not e100 or e25, or slower?
