Thanks for your suggestions the other day on film. I ended up going with the
E200 for the best reason of all: when it was time to go out to shoot, that's
all I had in the fridge! I had to manipulate the blue channel a fair amount
to get the ion tail to come out as well as it did. I wonder what I could
have done with an even more blue-sensitive film!
Look forward to seeing your shots. Looks like cloudy weather in Virginia for
the next couple of days, so probably no more Machholz shots for me until it
reappears the next time, whatever century that might be.

What an awesome shot. It appears E200 does a pretty good job at
recording a comet's ion tail. I actually surprised. I can only
hope that the shots I've taken the last several days are on par with
your excellent results.
