RE: [APML] VOTING (was Number of APML members?)
Chris,
I don't post a lot because I listen more than I speak. I image with a DLSR
and a CCD. But most, I image with film. Each medium has its advantages and
its disadvantages. When I want to ask a question or learn something about
DLSR imaging, I go to the digital_astro yahoo group. If I need something on
CCD I go to one of the CCD groups. If I want to see if there is a new film
out that is good for astrophotography, I come here. I don't have the
bandwidth to monitor all of the groups at any one time so its nice to be
able to "selectively" listen. Please keep APML film. I get very valuable
information concerning film from this group and don't want it to get watered
down by other information. (So count me as #10)

Let me make it 9. This is the only place to talk about film
astrophotography. Sure, there aren't many posts per day, but so what. Why
try to duplicate what is already available on a dozen other lists? I can
guarantee you that list membership will drop immediately (if only
temporarily) to 542 if we make this yet another CCD/DSLR list.
