RE: [APML] Number of APML members?
Gentlemen,
I have been reading with interest the current thread, which mirrors a number
of threads broaching the same topic over the years. I do not post much but
am an avid reader and have learned much about film from this list. While I
agree that film, is not what it used to be and more people are going over to
the dark side I have to disagree about opening this list to CCD and DSLR.
As has been said, there is a preponderance of lists covering the silicon
interests but only this one that was originally dedicated to film. That
being said, it appears a moot point since from the outset of CCD people have
posted here with no regards to the stated purpose of this list as enumerated
by the founders.
When I shoot, I still use film as do a number of members of our local
astrophotography group. I still have many rolls of color film in the
freezer. One member recently purchased $500.00 of TecPan. Consider the
continued threads relative to the search for new color films and the testing
that some of the members are doing and tell me there is not a place for a
dedicated list like this for the subject.
Regards,
Fred Lusen
