[APML] Anyone used Kodak Portra films?

Hi gang,

I received a free pro-pack of medium format Kodak Portra negative films. The
pack contains one roll each of Portra VC ("vivid color"), 400 NC ("natural
color"), 400 UC ("ultra color"), 800, and 400 BW (black and white). Has
anyone used any of these films for astrophotography? Would I be wasting my
time to shoot a piggyback M42 on each type to see if any of it is any good?
If I remember from my past terrestrial use of portrait-type films, they tend
to be lower contrast than other print films, but I have never used them for
astrophotography, so I don't know about red sensitivity, reciprocity, etc.

Any advice or experience would be most appreciated!
