Yeah, I tried that too with no joy :^( but I think that I have found a
way to make it work. If the image is 8 bit (B&W) instead of 16 bit it
does work. Even though Axel says that he has tested it under Linux with
16 bit input files. Now it won't write 16 bit files but thats not a
problem.
