RE: [APML] OT: memory usage by PhotoShop

I have the same Cs and XP. Photoshop lets me specify up to 100% of ram for
its use. However, I only have 500MB installed. I am not sure why you are
being limited to 50% on your system. You might want to check at the Adobe
site or in one of the Adobe newsgroups and ask if there is a limit on RAM
that CS can use. Also you may have another program installed that has
reserved ram. In the ControlPanel-System-Advanced section try the different
windows memory usage settings. If smoke starts coming out of the back of
your computer reboot.

Subject: [APML] OT: memory usage by PhotoShop
Hi,
I have a PhotoShop question. My PS version is CS. Operating system is
WinXP. I have 4GB of memory and WinXP can locate 3.6GB.
I went to PS and tried to increase the memory used by PS.
However, PS showed that the maximum memory used by PS is 1.77GB.
Is there any way to make PS use more memory? Why in my computer PS can only
use 50% of the memory?
Many thanks!
Wei-Hao
