[APML] OT: memory usage by PhotoShop

Hi,

I have a PhotoShop question.  My PS version is CS.  Operating
system is WinXP.  I have 4GB of memory and WinXP can locate 3.6GB.
I went to PS and tried to increase the memory used by PS.  
However, PS showed that the maximum memory used by PS is 1.77GB.

Is there any way to make PS use more memory?  Why in my computer
PS can only use 50% of the memory?
