RE: [APML] hp scanjet 8200 professional image scanner
The descriptions on the previously mentioned web page suggests that the
filmholders have changed (they now hold more film frames at one time) but I
assume they are the same style--a black plastic card a couple of millimeters
thick with cutouts for the film. Grooves are molded into the edges of the
cutouts to hold the film. About like loading film into a development reel,
but flat rather than a spiral.
...
Just went back and checked more on their webpages. You can download
references and/or users manuals at
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&
oid=28461&infoType=Doc
The holders have been redesigned, but appear to be as I described. The
holders are shown on page 3 of the 'product info guide' (2nd document on
list).

What sort of film holder does it use? Are you familiar with the Sprintscans?
Does the film holder move during scanning. Can you compare the results to a
Sprintscan? I am familiar with the Polaroid's and Nikons but I have never
heard much about these combo units. Is this your "main" scanner?
