RE: [APML] Sprintscan 35 Plus problems
Sounds like a dust mote on the head. Open up the front and blast it with a
Dust-Off compressed gas duster. Worked for me.

Subject: [APML] Sprintscan 35 Plus problems
I have just taken delivery of a 35 Plus (yes I know I am two generations
behind but it was a step up from my plain vanilla Sprintscan 35) and gave it
the nasty test of scanning a wide field E-200 slide that I shot a year ago.
Thereis a prismatic band running from top to bottom (landscape) whenever I
scan it. The interesting thing is that the prismatic band shifts by up to
10% left-right position wise every time I scan.
I moved the scanner so that the SCSI cable was clear of all power cords and
the only cable it is near is my video cable.
Is the prismatic band indicative of the sensor on its way out the door or
electrical interferance?
