Brian,

I haven't heard of it.  One problem will probably be the brightness of the
projected image.  Enlargers are very dim compared to projectors and your
exposure times on the paper will probably be too short to be practical
unless you are making enlargements the size of a wall.  You should be able
to find a used enlarger for next to nothing.  I had a large format B&W
enlarger listed for sale online for close to a year and finally gave it away
to someone who would just come and get it.  I think Tony Hallas has had the
same experience with some of his old color equipment.
