Jim--- you mean I've been illegal for over a year ? *<];oO
I'm sorry <g>... I took my first CCD H-a over a year ago with my TV85. But I had to use an OAG with the ST-10 and that was all a bit much for the TV85's 2" focuser. So I put off doing more of it until I had a guide scope setup.
In October, I received my TEC140. I planned to use the TV85 as a guidescope for the TEC and vice-versa. But there's flexure somewhere--- probably in the TV85 focuser. I was using pretty solid Parallax rings for the TV.
Recently I made up an adapter and slightly modified a Lumicon GEG for use on the TEC140. Now my ST-4 can be used to guide the TEC off-axis.. My G11 mount just wouldn't be remotely up to the 20 second or so guide exposures needed by the ST-10's guide chip trying to get a peek at a star through the CS 4.5nm H-alpha filter. But this GEG setup seems to work well, so expect me to officially apply to the "H-alpha Imaging Club" soon. <VBG>
