RE: [APML] How do I get rid of the attachment symbol?
Oops...
Alan (and others interested),
Not to confuse matters, but the reason my last message had an attachment is
because by default my e-mail program (Outlook) uses the same format as the
message I am replying to. In this case your(alan's) message which was html.
The reason this one does not is that I had to manually specify a plain text
format.
Does anyone else using Outlook know how to force a reply to use plain text?
I have it set that when I compose a new message it will be plain text, that
much I know...

Alan,
If you are using yahoo mail then try this:
When in yahoo mail go to "mail options"...then scroll down towards the
bottom where the heading says "message actions" under this check to see if
"forward messages" is set for "inline text" or "attachment" it should be set
as inline text. Perhaps this helps?

I don't have any idea what you mean by outlook. This is all I can tell you:
I use yahoo accounts through interent explorer. Personally, I'm about ready
to grab this damn computer and smash it to bits. I'd laugh and laugh about
it too. I have not been able to sign on except for about 10 minutes on 2
different occaisons today. My Juno account (same computer) and even my wifes
yahoo account have been fine. Allon this computer, what have I done wrong?

Kevin is right on this. To change it globally in Outlook, go Tools,
Options from the main toolbar, and set "Mail Format" to Plain Text. If
for some reason you prefer to use a fancy, high-bandwidth format for
most stuff, you can do "Format, Plain Text" from the tool bar on the
message itself, and change just that one.
It's been a loosing battle, but plain text is generally preferred, and
really makes it easier for those who want to read the list in digest
form.
