Re: [APML] How do I get rid of the attachment symbol?

Hi Alan:
Well, you're stretching my familiarity with the Windows software, but I
think you can get rid of the attachment symbol without switching to Outlook
Express. (The fact that your tools/internet options/programs setting is
"Outlook" rather than "Outlook Express" suggests to me that you are using
Outlook.)
Anyway, try this. When you are in Outlook, look under the Tools/Options
menu. (I don't use Outlook, so I can't swear that there will be such a menu
item. If there isn't, forget my advice <G>.) You should see a bunch of tabs
across the top. Click on the Send tab. Down near the bottom you should see
an area that says "Mail Sending Format." Just under that header, there
should be two rond windows (I think they're called radio buttons). You want
to click on the button next to "Plain text" so that the black dot in the
button labeled "HTML" loses its dot. If that all goes as I expect, just
click OK and leave the Options menu and you should get rid of that pesky
attachment symbol.
Good luck!
Bert

Outlook? I don't even have the slightest idea of what they are or what they
do. I'm thinkin' about pulling a Rich Michaels and taking a hammer to this
thing. My wife and I have a joke we share: if you take the computer
expertise of both of us and added them together, we'd equal one average 5
year old. All my kids knew more about this stuff when they were still
wearing diapers than I'll ever know.
