Alan, near as I can tell, if you post to APML in anything but plain text, you get the attachment symbol. When I initially replied to your message, my email client (Outlook Express) tried to reply in the same format as your post (i.e., rich text or HTML). I changed the format of my reply to plain text, and I'm betting this post won't have the attachment symbol.

Hey all,

I've noticed since I changed my e-mail address, that whenever i post anything here (not on the other groups), I see an attachement symbol. Tony Hallas' posts also have the same thing along with a few others. Can anyone explain to me simply how to get rid of it? 

I'll be interested in seeing if this takes 4 days to post too. 8-)
