Re: [APML] Fog,Diffusion_Filter

Roland !

You have reason about the size 6 X 6 cm , it's large enough for most of the lens. I tested this size infront my lenses , they fit verry well for my 28 and 50mm and the only one where it's not enough large it's infront my 16mm but I'll find a way.

The guy who took this picture http://astrosurf.com/bex/astroorion.asp  mentionned me that he punch a hole on the top of the holder and pass a wire to make a support on his lens. He use the filter at the start of his exposure ( 5min ) and remove it for the rest of the exposure.

I contacted GEPE , but they sell only to company :(

Clear skies !

You can purchase anti-newton glass larger than 6x6. However, it is
usually aimed at a particular film format, and when you get larger
than 6x6, the available glass is usually for an enlarger, e.g., 4x5,
and it starts getting pricey.

The 6x6 is large enough to work in front of most lenses and might even
work inside a gel filter holder. Hmmm.... Maybe I'll make a trip up
to B&H to pick up a box of 6x6 GEPE slide mounts....
