Gang,

  I can't thank you all enough for your input.  I
generally pride myself on being pretty knowledge in
the subjects I choose to involve myself in, but with
AP there is *so much* you need to know just to begin!

  I did some checking around... and there are some
fabulous pictures running around that were taken with
LX200's.  

 But since my funds are limited (I just bought a house
in Silicon Valley... my funds are VERY limited!)... I
think I'm going to hunt around for a used Losmandy.

 You can bet that as I learn more, I'll have more
silly questions.

  It's been a little frustrating trying to figure out
the best way to go about AP, but Alan, you said
something that helped a LOT: "The higher we set our
standards, the more there is to overcome.
That's the way it should be." 

   And you're right.
