[APML] Meade Telescope Mounts

All,

The feedback I'm getting regarding my Synta EQ6
mount is that it's simply not going to work
particularly well for astrophotography with a 1200mm
focal length newt.

I'm contemplating the (future) purchase of either a
10" or 12" Meade LX200. Are the mounts that come
with the LX200 (plus a Meade Superwedge) any good for
astrophotography?

Before I seriously consider spending $2000+ on a
Losmandy G-11, I want to look at the option of
spending an extra $1000 and getting an entirely new
telescope with a GOTO drive to boot!

Any thoughts appreciated, especially from those of
you that do AP with a 10" or 12" LX200.

  Thank you!
