Re: [APML] Kodak's final response and my film analysis (kiss ofdeath)
Alan,
That's a bummer on the news that Kodak is selling Royal Supra marked as
Supra. I really had hoped we would have more time to stock up on the good
stuff, and I didn't think Kodak would stoop so low.
I can test any film, but right now I have other obligations and won't be
able to do any film testing until early March. I don't have high hopes for
the high speed Fuji films. Fuji went toward the "short red response" a
couple years ago with their 4-layer films. The red response of Fuji
Superia400 and Fuji NPH400 were pretty low. Those two films only slightly
responded to hypering, mostly in the green and some blue.
If you want me to test the faster Fuji films, one roll each is enough for
unhypered tests. I'm low on forming gas, so I won't be testing hypered
films unless I can get an economical source for the gas (maybe Park's
resurrection of Lumicon?). You can contact me direct, but I may be slow to
answer (a few days at a time).
