[APML] Kodak's latest response Fwd: Re: Other (KMM3305520C0KM)
Hi all,
I really don't know what to say about this. It's rather ambiguous. I'm
taking it to mean that as far as Kodak is concerned they are not aware
of the type of film dubbed as "Made in USA for international Use". That
being the case I have to assume that it is made to be exported(gray)
but, the distributors are telling us that this film has not left the
country. Or it could be a case of him not being able to answer my
question and therefore responding with the company propaganda.
I would like to know more about this. I have assumed up until now that
the manufacturer was the one who specified the 3 levels available: Made
in USA, Made in USA for International Use, and the evil Gray film. From
Kodak's response this does not seem to be the case.
If any of you have first hand info on this issue, I'd love to hear it.
Here's what I'm going to do; I'm going to type a carefully wordrd
response to Kodak to see if we can get more specific information about
this. Tonight I'm trying out the 'new' film , but as I said I won't be
able to get any results until wednesday at best. If this is still
kicking around come monday, maybe I'll try calling some of the people
we buy film from to see if THEY can explain it. This may be a good
project for any of you who have a good contact at B&H, Adorama, Wolf,
etc...
