RE: [APML] First Horsehead
Alan and Don,
Thanks for the feedback! A little encouragement goes a long way and I
do appreciate it. I know the shot still needs some work but I was
really pleased to finally get a decent image. This thing has been my
nemesis...
Alan, I guess great minds think alike ;-) I thought about the 12" but I
lug my scope out into the desert all the time and I wanted something I
could easily handle alone. If I had an observatory, I'd be using a
twelve, too.
This was also my first session with the 208XT. I sure enjoyed having
the visual feedback vs. the 201XT that I've been using. Do you use the
Meade Autoguider software? It really worked well for me.
Best regards,
Dave

That happens constantly to me, wait 'til next year. :-)
I see we use almost exactly the same equipment. 12" LX200 for me,
TV-85, 208XT for guiding, and Supra 400. I no longer piggyback the 85
on the LX though. For the time being, I mostly use the 85 for my star
party scope because of its portability and the fact that I don't have
room in the observatory for it. I need more room.
Good shot, keep posting.
Alan
