There really has never been a clear concensus about whether to freeze
or chill. Freeze it if you've got a lot and it will be around for
several years. Use the fridge for shorter term storage. Cooling will
keep the film in better shape than not cooling. Avoid humidity. Film
will last a couple years past the exp date if chilled.
