[APML] SS4000 scanning dialoge questions

Hey all,

I had to uncheck the boxes in the scan dialoge (PolaColor insight) for:
1. "Imbed Color Profile"
2. "Launch Application"

When the scanned images opened up up in PS or PWPro, they looked like
slide scans; light background, dark object (M42). Unchecking the Imbed
color Profile fixed that. 

Also, I got 'Error-file does not exist' messages. Unchecking 'Launch
Application' fixed that. 

In truth, I have no idea if these things are actually "fixed", they are
just gone, and everything seems to be normal.

I have gone through all settings in the above mentioned programs and
changed everything I could find to "Adobe RGB 1998". So, I'm seeming
some different warnings and errors. 

What I'd like to know is if I've done the right thing by unchecking
those boxes. Or if I should be changing something somewhere else.
