Dave, that image of yours shows plenty of depth for an f/5.6 system.  Youve
got the right film allright, but Im shooting some 4 stops faster, and will
of course get more nebular detail.  You on the other hand have a deeper
magnitude limit.

Beautiful image Chris!  I can't believe the faint nebulosity you picked
up in an eight minute exposure.  I shot my first roll of Supra Friday
night and got a similar result (though not as deep)

Here is a *SINGLE*  8 minute frame with the Schmidt camera of the Sword
region of Orion, to show the films red sensitivity to an advantage.
Direct
comparisons with the same equipment and exposures revealed that the
current
version of Supra 400 is exceeding all the results ive obtained in the
past
with Pro 400 PPF film.  The grain is so much finer, and the images more
smooth and detailed.  My order for a large quantity is going in this
week at
B&H photo...
